Because the manual says the code resolves when communication returns to normal, Ed may come and go. The DW24XV text goes further and says it is a hint and not a warning. The manuals do not give a cause.
What to do
- Note whether the machine keeps running a cycle while Ed shows.
- If it clears by itself, nothing more is needed.
- If it stays, have the dashboard connection checked.
Why the manuals call it a hint
The DW24XV manual separates warnings from hints. Ed sits in the second group, so on that model it is information about the panel link rather than an instruction to stop. Even so, a code that never clears is worth a call, because the dashboard is how you start and stop cycles.
