The fault
Bertazzoni’s table lists F2 (F02 on some lists) as the inability to discharge water. Wash water goes to the drain, and here it is not leaving.
The manual’s steps
| Step | Text in the table |
|---|---|
| 1 | The water discharge hose and filters may be clogged |
| 2 | Cancel the program |
| 3 | If the error continues, contact service |
Applying them
A drain hose is the corrugated line from the machine to the sink drain or disposer. The manual says only that the discharge hose and filters may be clogged.
Switch the machine off before reaching in. Water in the tub may be hot, and the sump can hold sharp fragments.
Next
If you clear what you can find and the program is cancelled and restarted, and F2 comes back, the instruction is simple: contact service. The table does not describe a pump test or any other owner check.

Questions about F2
How do I know the error continues? If F2 shows again when you start a program after clearing what you could find in the hose and the filters.
Does cancelling the program empty the machine? The manual does not say so. Cancelling is only listed as the step before you judge whether the error continues, so check the tub afterwards and be ready for standing water.

If F2 returns after the hose and filters are clear, call (415) 692-0756 and a technician can look at the rest of the drain path.
Model compatibility: Bertazzoni reuses codes across series and model years, so F2 / F02 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
