What to put in your message
Four details do most of the work: the appliance type, the full model number from its rating label, what it is doing, and the ZIP code where it is installed. If a code appears, type it exactly as shown or attach a photo. Exact spelling matters because similar-looking codes can mean different things on different appliances.
Describing the symptom well
When does it happen? An oven fault during preheat is not the same as one during self-clean, and a dishwasher that stops after filling points elsewhere than one that stops while draining. For a warm refrigerator, give a thermometer reading from each section. For a leak, say where the water first shows and at what point in the cycle. A drip that appears only when the door opens is a different clue from one that shows up during draining.
Building and access notes
Tell us if the appliance is panel-ready, set deep into cabinetry, on a high floor or in a building with loading-dock hours. In San Francisco in particular, a note about parking or an elevator reservation can save a wasted trip. Please do not slide a built-in refrigerator, wall oven or dishwasher out of its space unless we ask.
When not to wait for an appointment
Gas smell, smoke, sparks, a scorched odor that will not fade, or water touching wiring all mean the same thing: switch the appliance off and deal with that hazard before anything else. Routine scheduling can wait until the hazard is dealt with.
What happens after you write
We read your message, match it to the model, and confirm that your address is within our Bay Area coverage. The model library and error code library can help you pull together details beforehand. The visit begins with diagnosis, then a written estimate, and nothing is replaced without your say-so.
Please hold off ordering parts yourself. A part bought on a guess is a common reason repairs take longer than they should.

Answers before you ask
A few common questions before service.
You submit a request with your appliance model and symptom, we confirm an appointment window, and a technician performs an on-site diagnosis. You then receive a clear estimate and decide whether to proceed before any repair begins.
Yes. We provide an upfront estimate after diagnosis. No parts are ordered or installed until you approve the work, so there are no surprise charges.
Replacement parts are selected for the exact model and confirmed with you before ordering or installation.
Service areas are listed on the Locations page. Contact us with your ZIP code to confirm current coverage for your address.
