When FF shows on a Bertazzoni dishwasher, the machine has decided that water is not arriving the way it should. The manufacturer’s fault table calls it a water inlet system failure, and the same entry appears in the user manuals for the 18 inch and 24 inch models we checked.
The three steps Bertazzoni gives you
- Confirm that the water inlet tap is open and that water is actually flowing through it.
- Separate the inlet hose from the tap and clean the filter in the hose.
- If FF continues after that, contact service.
The second step is the one people skip. The filter is a small screen that catches grit before it can reach the machine. Turn the tap off before you disconnect anything, keep a towel under the connection, and reconnect it firmly before opening the tap again.
What the code does not tell you
The manual does not say which part inside the machine has failed, and it gives no list of causes beyond the tap and the hose filter. That is why the last line says to call. A closed or restricted supply is the only cause the manufacturer asks you to rule out yourself. Anything behind the inlet connection means opening the machine, and that is work for a technician, with the power off.
