The MAST30FSEXV is a Master Series 30-inch electric convection wall oven with self-clean. Naming the mode that fails, bake, broil or convection, shortens the path to the cause.
Model reference
Bertazzoni model names differ by a few characters, and those characters can mean a different oven configuration or control package. MAST30FSEXV should be quoted in full, never shortened to “MAST30”, when parts or procedures are chosen. On an oven with dual convection fans, a self-clean mode and touch controls, the exact designation tells us which control package we are testing.
The rating label is the reference. Photograph it only if you can reach it in normal use, since a wall oven set into cabinetry should not be pulled out just to fill in a form.
Think of it as a Master Series oven: 30 inches wide, electric, convection-equipped, single cavity, with a self-clean mode. The spec sheets give a cavity near 4.1 cubic feet and two convection fans. You also get LED touch controls, soft-motion hinges, fast preheat, a choice of bake and broil modes, and a dedicated high-voltage feed.
Because it has several modes, the first question we ask is which one misbehaves. An oven that bakes but never broils is a different case from one that does not heat at all. A fault in one mode points toward the element or circuit that mode uses, while a fault in every mode points toward shared parts such as sensing, power switching or the control.
Write down the mode and setpoint, and whether the oven warms slowly, stalls, overshoots or stays cold. Heating elements, temperature sensing, power switching, wiring and the control can all produce the same symptom, so we measure before we replace anything.
For uneven browning, run the same simple test twice, noting rack position and whether preheat finished. A blocked door gap or cookware pressed against the back wall can disturb airflow.
A new scraping or rattling sound only in convection is useful information. Because the convection fans work in that mode, a sound that appears only there narrows the search to a fan and its motor rather than the heating system. Please do not push tools through vents or lift covers; fan motors and wiring sit behind panels that carry line voltage.
Self-clean drives the cavity to very high temperatures and depends on the door lock. If the door stays locked after the oven has fully cooled, do not force the handle. Pulling hard on a locked handle tends to add a broken part to the original problem. Note any code on the display and tell us when the cycle was started.
After a power flicker or a breaker event, a touch panel may freeze. Switching the breaker off and on once is a fair attempt, provided the oven has cooled and nothing smells scorched. If the same symptom returns, stop cycling power and describe what you saw.
Tell us the model number, the mode involved, the setpoint, and any code shown. We diagnose first, give you a written estimate, and replace nothing without your approval. For the broader picture see Bertazzoni oven repair.
It is a 30-inch electric convection single wall oven from the Master Series, with a self-clean function. It is built into cabinetry rather than sitting under a cooktop.
Please give the full MAST30FSEXV designation. Similar names differ by characters that can point to another configuration or control package.
Let the oven cool completely, do not force the handle, and note any code on the display. A locked door can involve the latch, sensing, wiring or the control.
No. The oven runs on a dedicated high-voltage supply and the fans sit behind covered panels, so leave internal access to a technician.
